It's Going To Be A....

Little boy to add to the bustling Meadows household! We went this morning for the routine 20-week ultrasound (though I am 21 weeks today) and we found out that our wee one will be a little boy indeed! Berkley got to go and see her "bubba" and after they told us it was a boy she looked up on the monitor and said "Bubba!" It was so cute! She liked looking at the pics of him after they gave them to us! She was so funny because the whole time they were doing the ultrasound I think she thought they were hurting me because she would look at me and then at the lady and like start whining. But everything looked great; he weighs 13 oz. (Berk was 14 oz. at 20 weeks and 3 days) and his heart beat was 137 bpm (Berk's was 154 bpm). He measured right on target to be due on March 8, so that is what we will plan on! But again, everything looked great! I am posting some pictures from the sonogram but will NOT post the pictures confirming he was a boy because I just find it kind of "inappropriate!" (But trust me, HE is a BOY!!) Hope you enjoy and have a great rest of the week!

20 Week Doc Visit

Well yesterday was a great doctor's visit; the wee one's heart beat was 144 bpm and I gained 4 lbs from the last visit! (I was worried I had lost again which isn't a horrible thing on most occasions but with a baby it's a little different!) She said everything sounded good and she didn't have any concerns which is nice! We go on MONDAY to find out what the baby is and to hopefully see that everything else is developing how it is supposed to! After the doctor's appointment I ran a few errands and then went and got my mom-to-be massage which was HEAVENLY! The woman recommended that it be done once a month, usually after your doctor's visit! (Hmmm sounds like a plan to me!) But all in all it was a great day, topped off of course by Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice on the TV! Well hope everyone has a great weekend; ours will be action-packed with Nicole's baby shower tomorrow morning and then Fall Fling tomorrow evening!

Monday, Monday, Monday

Well it's Monday again and I have really started dreading the Mondays. It just seems like the weekends fly by and before we know we are back in the grind of things. This weekend was a great, fun-filled weekend complete with Country Peddling in Lubbock, TECH'S BIG VICTORY (WOO HOO!) and some down time yesterday. Thad went and looked at suburbans but no such luck and I think we are going to stick with the Tahoe for as long as we can manage when number 2 comes along! Today I am officially 20 weeks pregnant (HALFWAY DONE!) and go to the doc on Thursday. I'm afraid I have lost a little more weight, but I eat when I'm hungry and there's just no getting around being on my feet at work and then chasing around the toddler at home! (If 52 pounds don't creep up on me this time, I can't say that I will complain!) I just thought I would post a few pictures for your viewing pleasure and wish everyone a delightful week!

Almost Friday!

Well it is almost Friday and I cannot wait for this weekend! We don't have much planned except to go to the Country Peddler Show in Lubbock and look at suburbans on Saturday and then it is 'golf day' for the boys on Sunday. I have found myself really noticing hormones this week (which can be a REALLY bad thing, just ask some of my coworkers) and I have been pooped to say the least! But like I told Thad last night, growing a baby is exhausting! I haven't stepped on the scale since my last appointment but I can tell that baby is doing fine since 'he' moves around a BUNCH and lets me know 'he' is there! I have a 'bump' if that is what you want to call it, but still not 'noticeably' pregnant. I am ready for that 'noticeable' phase to kick in that way everyone will stop asking if I am just pulling their legs! (And of course to be able to wear stretchy pants!) We are getting really excited about seeing 'him' and I don't think that the 26th could get here soon enough! We are planning on taking Berk with us to see her 'bubba' and can't wait for her to actually process that we are talking about a 'real' thing. The other day we were sitting at the bar eating and Berk had already finished her food and she was playing with her toys and low and behold I look up and she has got her diaper off, just prancing around the living room like a little nudist! It was so funny because here lately she has started showing 'signs' that she is getting ready to be potty trained; for instance if you ask her if she needs her diaper changed she will motion you to 'come here' and then take you by the hand and lead you into her room to change her. Or the other day she had dirtied her diaper and went in the playroom at Gran's and brought us a diaper! I tell you, that girl is too smart for her own good sometimes! Hopefully she will be pretty easy to potty train and we can get her out of diapers when the new one comes along so we will only be out one box of diapers and not TWO! But anyway I just thought I would give everyone a little update! The birthday came and went just like any old day and Thad got me an hour long massage that I will be taking advantage of on the 22nd when I go back to the doctor. (I have decided to make that an all day pampering session complete with the massage, manicure and pedicure and maybe even a new shirt or something!) Well hope everyone is as ready for the weekend as I am and have a good rest of the week! Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure!

A Few More Pictures

Well last night Berk and I got to do some great bonding over Sonic (she had a grilled cheese and tater tots and I had a footlong chili cheese dog with fries) and just some one-on-one girl time! Thad was bird hunting and didn't get home until 9:30. I put Berk in bed at 8:00 (her normal bedtime), enjoyed watching "Mercy" on NBC and went to lay in bed and watch "CSI: NY" at 9:00 and low and behold I walk into her room to shut her door and guess who is still WIDE AWAKE?! Oh yes, none other than the Berkster herself and she was ready to play! I think she knew that dada was coming home soon and really wanted to see him since she doesn't see him like she used to in the mornings. So we laid in bed together watching "CSI: NY" and as soon and dada got home and she got some lovin' from him, she was ready to hit the sack. That girl cracks me up and I just love her to pieces! Here are some more pictures from the other night that I couldn't get to upload yesterday! Hope you enjoy!

Just Moving Right Along

Well we are in deed just moving right along! There really hasn't been much excitement at the Meadows house here lately so we have just been enjoying the relaxation. Thad has been working on getting the deer lease set up and today he is going bird hunting, so Berk and I have been relaxing, relaxing, relaxing! (Well as much as you can with a one-year old!) The weather is finally starting to be more "fall-like" but of course, the Texas heat usually creeps in! I am just ready for the weather to be "fall-like" and stay that way! I just thought I would do a quick update on here with some pictures! I turn the big 2-5 on MONDAY (scary) and we go back to the doctor on the 22nd for a routine visit (20 weeks and 3 days) and then to get an ultrasound on the 26th (21 weeks)! We are super excited about finding out the baby's sex and can't wait to start buying all the new baby stuff! (Probably not so much as we did with Berk but I am sure we will splurge here and there!) Well just thought I would update everyone! Enjoy the pictures and the "fall-like" weather! The internet is acting funny so I will have to post more pictures later or tomorrow!

10/4/09...Hanging out in her sweater dress with her new black shoes on! She is so funny because she KNOWS when she has new shoes on and she LOVES flaunting them!

10/4/09...Her next favorite thing to do besides show off her new shoes is to "read!" I love it that she loves books so much and she will wrestle you to get in your lap and have you read a book to her!
