24-Week Appointment

Well yesterday I had my 24-week appointment and everything looked GREAT! I tipped the scales with a 9-pound weight gain (YES YOU READ RIGHT!). His heartbeat sounded like it has before and she didn't tell me the rate but I am guessing somewhere in the 140's. She said everything looked great and at my visit on the 17th of December I will have to take the glucose test to make sure I don't have gestational diabetes; keep your fingers crossed! But everything with Jack was wonderful and Berkley is just being very hormonal with her molars coming in! Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for us; we are going to Breakfast with Santa (brunch is more like it) at 11:30 and she will get her picture with Santa and then we will browse Holiday Happenings and then go to ride the Polar Express tomorrow evening! Nothing like getting in the holiday spirit! All the while the boys are going to be putting up Christmas lights! I can't wait for Berk to see them on the house! She oohs and ahhs everytime the lights on the Christmas tree are turned on! :) It will be a great weekend I am sure and I am totally looking forward to the 2-day work week next week and then stuffing my face with wonderful food and great visiting with family next week! We are really looking forward to the great family time! Well I will post pictures on Monday and hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Strictly Pictures!

Well tomorrow I go to the doctor for my 24-week appointment. Nothing exciting going on just excited to hear little Jack's heartbeat! I raised up my shirt the other day to scratch my stomach and Berkley said, "Bubba!" and pointed to it! It was funny and I think the reality is starting to set in for her that there is something in there because it is getting bigger for sure! Anyway I just thought I would post some pictures from last few days or so! Hope you enjoy and I will post an update tomorrow on our progress!

These were taken Thursday of last week; she has learned something new which I am sure she has picked up from me doing it so much with her! She will grab a bag, sling it over her shoulder and say "Bye Bye!" and start waving! HILARIOUS!

And the phone of course is not surprise to anyone! She will always say "Dada" and act like she is carrying on a conversation!

Here she is waving "Bye bye"

Sunday Fun Day!

Well yesterday wound up being a load of "fun" if that is what you want to call it! I got the Christmas tree put up AND decorated and while in the process, found out that Thad killed a 12-point buck!! Him and the guy that he hunts with both got bucks yesterday and we are taking Thad's lovely 12-point to the taxidermy lady to get him in someone else's freezer rather than mine! The lady said it would probably take about 4-6 months but I just want Thad to have this as a momento of his big shot! (Plus it might look cute in Jack's room and it will make for part of his Christmas gifts!) Berkley was quite enthralled with the Christmas tree when we got back from Gran and Pop's last night and Thad and I both know that it will be a real task to keep her little paws off of the ornaments! Speaking of Gran and Pop's, we went over there for dinner to welcome back the newlyweds; yes, I said NEWLYWEDS! Corey and his fiancee Randi Beth went and got hitched in Ruidoso this past Saturday! It is so nice to have another girl in the family and we wish them a very long and fulfilling life together! But anyway I just thought I would share in my joys of our Sunday! And of course give you all the picture of Thad's monster buck!

Family Christmas Pictures

Yesterday we went to Family Photo in Lubbock and got our family Christmas picture made! Last year we didn't have one made and so this year I thought that we better! It was quick and easy and we got some good pictures and that was our main goal. We already have Christmas cards made, but we will use some of these as extras to the Christmas cards! Today Berk and I are putting up the Christmas tree so that I can see what else I need so I can get it on Thursday when I go to Lubbock for my doctor's appointment. (Thad is of course hunting!) But anyway I just thought I would share the pictures with you and hope you enjoy our early Christmas spirit!

A Whole Lotta Notta

I really don't know why I am even going to waste your time blogging today, but I know that some of you start having Berkley withdraws if there aren't any new pictures on here throughout the week, so this is strictly for YOU! We really don't have much going on at the house besides just chasing our little munchkin and both being busy at work! I don't really have any new baby Jack news for you; oh yeah, I guess I could "formally" share his name with you- Jack Brannon Meadows. That will be our little ''wee ones" name and we are getting anxious about his arrival! I go back to the doctor on Thursday, the 19th for a routine monthly appointment. I can't believe that this time has already come, but we start two-week appointments in December! Can you believe that?! Next month will be busy with doctor's visits (Berkley goes for her 15-month appointment and shots and I have TWO doctor's visits) and family get togethers, so there will be no rest for the weary! And not mention that CHRISTMAS is just a blink away; I don't know how but EVERY YEAR it sneaks up on us! We are going to go and get some family pictures taken this weekend and then probably hanging out a lot around the house since Rance will be in town. It will be good to see Rance since it seems like it has been forever even though he only lives in Lubbock! (Funny how that works once they move away, huh?!) But anyway that is enough babbling, nothing much going on just a lot of keeping busy and growing bigger! Hope your week ends with a bang and your weekend is restful!

Not Much Going On

Well there hasn't been too much happening around our house here this past week! Berk is starting to get her back molars on EVERY side so she has been a little cranky but nothing some Motrin, Orajel and a good sleep doesn't usually cure! I meant to blog about this a while ago but she has started brushing her teeth! I use "she" very loosely because I still do it and then give her the toothbrush at the end to suck off the rest of the toothpaste which seems to be her favorite part! She is so funny because she absolutely LOVES it and knows exactly what you say when you ask her if she wants to go and brush her teeth! Hopefully she will stay like that! We have been enjoying the "warm" weather once again and it was actually down right HOT at the Tech game last Saturday! Berk got to be the greeter in her little sailor outfit at Gran and Pop's house while we went to the game. I need to just put her in it again and take some pictures in front of the pumpkins so at least I will have them to show her later in life! She has also started making lots of animal noises here lately: she will say "Oof" for the dogs whenever she hears a dog bark no matter where we are, she will say "Babababa" for a chicken and the other day she say "Na" for a horse! She is quite the little smarty pants I must confess! And she is also talking about a complete storm; we will give her one of our phones and she will pretend to be talking to whoever and just jabber, jabber, jabber! It is quite hilarious because she will throw in a laugh every now and then that just sends us cracking up! But anyway things are going really well with the pregnancy and nothing exciting except if you call getting bigger by the day something to look forward to! But I know that he is definitiely in there because he moves around like crazy and I know that here in the next few weeks the pounds will start piling on! We went to Graham Kracker in Midland last Friday and picked out his bedding and I can't wait to get it in! But that is about it; trying to get ready and excited about the holiday season that is approaching SO FAST and of course, what wife wouldn't be excited about deer season opening this Saturday?! (Hope you sense my sarcasm!) Anyway hope everyone has a great rest of the week and here are some pictures to get you through!

11/3/09...Taking advantage of the warm fall afternoon! Webster was also let out but quickly put away when he decided under the Tahoe was more fun!

11/3/09...I snapped this right after she had a face that looked like a Cheerio because she was listening to the dogs bag and say "oof!"

11/3/09...Just a Berkley moment!

11/3/09...Love her!

11/3/09...Bedtime ritual!

11/3/09...This is me at 22 weeks 1 day pregnant! I posted this just because I KNOW that some of you (no names mentioned) are DYING to see just how big I am going to get with this one!
