Well this past week we went to visit my parents for two days and then up to "Green Acres" to visit my grandparents! (They live on a farm out in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma, so Green Acres is very fitting!) You see, Thad was working in Oklahoma since Monday and then Berk had her 9-month doctor visit on Tuesday and so we decided to go to my parents for a couple of days and then meet Thad at my grandparents for a few days! When we were at parents we got to catch up with one of my best friends from high school and the only one that I really keep in contact with, and we had plans to go to the waterpark on Wednesday, but Mother Nature wouldn't allow it! So instead we hung out at parents for the evening, got some good R & R and some great time for Berk to spend with her grandparents! We got in the car and drove 2 hours to my grandparents on Thursday and was so happy to see Thad! (I think it's a great thing when you still get butterflies when you see your honey, don't you?!) The few days we spent up at my grandparents was tons of fun since Berk hadn't visited the farm yet and she got the whole shebang: chickens sitting on her lap, fishing, playing on the porch, and no trip to Green Acres would be complete without AIR CONDITIONING would it?! Yes, no air conditioning, just fans blowing around the humid, HOT air; boy were we thankful for our air conditioning when we got home on Saturday! Berk also got to meet her great-great-grandma and so did Thad for the first time! Oh and Berkley also took her first step at Mema and Papa's while me and Thad were fishing the last night! Mema said that she just let go of the entertainment center and just took a step towards her! I swear we miss all of the firsts!! But I am posting some pictures from the visit and also Berk's 9-month statistics! Hope you enjoy!
Berkley 9-months:
Weight: 21 lbs. 9 oz. (90th percentile)
Height: 29 inches (95 th percentile)
Head circumference: 18 inches (95th percentile)
She also got her finger pricked to check to see if she was anemic (look at the child and you would know this answer) and also if she had lead poisoning; thankfully both were negative!
She is also able to eat just about EVERYTHING off of the table in addition to her formula and canned food! She has already enjoyed mashed potatoes, tortilla, fried potatoes, pop tart, toast with gravy and I'm sure much more is to come!
******And the BIGGEST THING to come out of the appointment is this:*****
Berkley is now in a BIG GIRL CAR SEAT and gets to face forward with the rest of us!
